Daily Makeup

67 Days until I leave for Japan~ That's so far away but I can't help but count down. I'm excited for my first trip to a foreign country and I'm super excited to see my friend who lives there who I haven't seen in nearly a year!

Until then I'm trying to keep myself occupied with a small handful of costume things and school work. The nice thing about school starting up again is that I now have an excuse to dress up three times a week. When you work in a kitchen you really don't have time to dress up much. So when I get the chance I really love to go all out.

While I rather enjoy playing with my makeup to match my outfit, I've fond one makeup style so far that really suits me. I use it on a rather daily basis, when I don't feel like getting creative.

Before I put makeup on though I do have to do some skin care. I use Cetaphil face wash and lotion (I have extremely bad dry skin). First I was my face using the face wash and warm water. After that I splash my skin with cold water, dry it, and apply the lotion.

I normally wait about fifteen minutes for it to soak in before I start.

Once my moisturizer has soaked in I use L'Oreal's 'Infallible'  foundation.
It has a really strong pigment so you don't have to use much of it to cover your skin. I then use Elf concealer to touch up my dark circles under my eyes and the red corners of my nose and eyebrows

Yay no more redness!
One of the most important parts of Gyaru makeup is the eyes, so thats what I spend the most time on. First I use a gold brown base across the lid. I have several eye shadow palletes with this color set and most of them all work the same
After that I use a deeper brown to cover the crease of my eye and the outer edge.
Next up~ eyeliner! I use a pencil eyeliner and draw a < shape on my eye, going about half way on the top and about a quarter on the bottom. I then use my finger to smudge the bottom line and soften it a little.

After that, using a liquid or gel eye liner I draw in a sharp line on my top eyelid, starting at the center of my eye and going about two centimeters past the end of the outer eye

I then fill in my brow (which I admittedly didn't do a super good job of this time, SORRY!) and add falsies on my top and bottom lash line

Lastly I apply a tiny bit of blush to the very top of my cheeks and a light pink lip gloss and that's it! Thats my daily makeup~

With my hair down and on the way to class
